Session 1: Overview

Software, hardware, and device requirements will be covered as we begin our virtual choir adventure. We will discuss preparing virtual choir instructions, creating guide tracks (audio and midi) and communicating best recording procedures for singers. Common challenges and tips for success will be shared.

Session 2: Importing and Basic Mixing in Logic Pro X

Importing recordings into Logic Pro X will be our focus for this next step of our adventure.

We will accomplish track alignment and basic mixing. 



Wednesday July 22 10:00-11:30AM

Session 3: Advanced Mixing Tips in Logic Pro X

We will explore many of the tools in Logic Pro X as we fine-tune our mix including EQ, reverb, flex time, flex pitch and other effects. By the end of the session we will have a finished audio project ready to save and bounce.

Session 4: Organizing, Importing, and Editing Project Media in Final Cut Pro X

Helpful hints for organizing project media is our next step. We will learn how to create a new library, new event, and new project as we import our video/audio clips. Editing basics will be covered as we create our primary storyline. We will then synchronize, resize, and crop our clips as we create various looks in our virtual choir project.

Session 5: Polishing and Enhancing our Virtual Choir in Final Cut Pro X

We will explore the many tools available in FCPX that enhance our virtual choir projects – effects, transitions, titles, generators and keyframes. These are the finishing touches that will give polish to our virtual choir projects. Our imaginations will be our guides – if we can dream it, we can accomplish it in FCPX. We will conclude this session by learning how to share (export) our virtual choir adventure.
